Last night I finished a book that I had picked up at the library on a whim- Goodbye Tsugumi by Yoshimoto Banana. I'm still not entirely sure what made me pick it up, probably the Japanophile side of me or anything.
Anyway, so I started reading it, and it was really something. It's about this girl, Tsugumi who is so frail everyone knows she'll eventually die young. The story is told by her cousin Maria, who happens to be the only person who make even a little sense of Tsugumi's actions.
